A release agent is a functional substance between the mold and the finished product that is chemically resistant and does not dissolve in contact with the chemical components of different resins (especially styrenes and amines).
The release agent is also heat and stress resistant, resistant to decomposition or abrasion, bonds to the mold without transferring to the part being processed, and does not interfere with painting or other secondary processing operations.

Wax series - vegetable, animal, synthetic paraffin wax; microcrystalline paraffin wax; polyethylene wax and so on.
Fluorine series - isolation performance is the best, the mold pollution is small, but the cost is high polytetrafluoroethylene; fluorine resin powder; fluorine resin coatings and so on.
Surfactant series - metal soap (anionic), EO, PO derivatives (non-ionic).
Inorganic powder series - talc, mica, clay, white clay, etc.
Polyether series--Polyether and grease oil mixtures, good heat and chemical resistance, mostly used in certain rubber industries that have restrictions on silicone oil. The cost is higher than silicone oil series.
The difference between water-based and solvent-based mold release agent
1. water-based mold release agent
Acid resistance, alkali resistance, hard water resistance, strong water solubility, good stability. Any proportion of water dilution without delamination, no emulsion breaking, no caking, long shelf life, high solid content, good dispersion.
2. Oil-based mold release agent
CFA-free, environmentally friendly and non-toxic; oil-based mold release agent does not corrode the product and mold, does not affect the second processing of the product, the surface is not greasy; especially suitable for large plastic shell product molding.
